Holly Pettis' Typography Project

  1. I think that typography should be expressive because it should tell a story and appeal to a person's emotions. It should come alive and have movement and personality. Depending on what the message is, the typography and art piece should reflect that message almost entirely. An example of typography being expressive could be someone making a flyer about a specific time or event occurring. The flyer should incorporate a certain typography which should further explain the message of the event. I feel like my typography project is expressive because the message is loud and the colors are loud and bright and the design is bold and full of color. The typography is more simple to personal handwriting and looks calm, but then in the center of the sun the typography is bigger and bolder and simpler which further displays the loud message.
