Zeecy's Typography Project "Speak"

1 comment:

  1. Typography is always expressive. Words are used to express a certain idea, and typography is art made out of words. Even if the typography piece is made of one word, the word is expressing a meaning, theme, or idea. The way the artist conveys the word is merely taking the word or phrase a step farther and making the meaning behind the word(s) visual. Whether it's making the words illegible, painting the words with certain colours, or stacking letters on top of each other the visual part of typography is there to help the viewer understand the meaning or interpret the word or phrase the way the artist did.
My typography project was expressive. Many people have problems with speaking out for themselves or speaking for other people. Speaking is often connected with the level of confidence of a person. So, for my project, I decided to interpret "speaking" as a burst of light or hope for a people being overshadowed by their shyness or introversion.
